Our Mission
At HomeCheck we aim to provide peace of mind to property owners while they are away. We are dedicated to ensuring that your property is well-maintained and secure, allowing you to travel worry-free.
Our Service
We offer customised visits, scheduled to meet your individual needs. Typically we will check all windows, doors, plumbing, thermostats, appliances, alarm systems etc. We will check the perimeter of your property, and we can liaise with contractors and provide other services as required.
Our service area covers North Indianapolis,
Zionsville, Westfield, Carmel and Fishers.

Going on Vacation? Tips on Preparing Your Home.
Whether it’s for a week or months - leave your house in good shape to minimize your worry.
Interior
- Clean out your refrigerator of anything perishable & make sure dry goods (including cereal, flour, sugar, and things like bird seed & pet food) are sealed up securely. Don’t forget to turn off the automatic ice maker.
- Disconnect small appliances, TVs, computers, etc. (except lights on timers).
- Set the thermostat to an appropriate temperature. If its winter and you have faucets with pipes near outside walls – open cabinet doors so they get some heat.
- Consider your houseplants - do they need to be relocated while you’re away, or do you need someone to come in and mind them?
- Check batteries in fire alarms, automatic watering systems, security systems, etc.
- Set up light timers to go on at different times in different rooms.
- Leave all the interior doors open so the air can circulate inside the house.
- Close all the blinds and drapes.
Exterior
- Consider storing away outside hoses, garden equipment, furniture, awnings, etc.
- Leaving a car behind? Ask your mechanic if it needs to be periodically started and/or driven.
- Summer - do you have a lawn service set up?
- Winter – have you arranged for clearing your driveway?
Important
- LOCK ALL YOUR DOORS & WINDOWS & PUT YOUR ALARM ON IF YOU HAVE ONE
- We recommend hiring a professional company to stop at the house periodically to make sure everything is in order, to check for leaks inside and out, walk the perimeter, and to visit after severe weather to check for storm damage, etc. Paying someone a fee to check on your home keeps them on task.
